I've scanned in a seris of photographs that I want to build a short movie out of. However, when I try to render the movie using the DV codec, playback is very choppy. QT Player reports the frame rate is dropping to as low as 13fps. How can I get smooth playback on screen? If I cant, can I smoothly send it to a camcorder for playback?

My system is a 400Mhz Poewrbook (Firewire), 192 mb RAM, 12GB hd, Adobe Premiere 5.1c, QT 4.1.2.

Thanks,

John

Not even the fastest G4 can currently play DV codec video on High quality at full frame rate. The data rate is just too high. For viewing on the computer, just go into the movie's options and turn high quality off. When you export the movie to a camcorder or deck through the firewire cable, it will come out full quality, so don't worry. =)
