Why should we tell you? We'd continue to have to deal with this stupid idiosyncrasy, which makes stuff difficult for us to read...

There's a setting for auto-capitalization in the keyboard preferences.

e.e. cummings eschewed capitalization for a creative reason (and only in some of his poems). For actual every-day communication, however, capitalization has a purpose: it enhances readability enormously, just as punctuation and (something close to) correct spelling enhance the reader's ability to decode the message you type.

Internet shorthand is bad enough (why I can't stand/rarely use Twitter). Now you want to eschew capitalization? Has the Internet made us all so lazy we can't even be bothered to push the shift key?
That's just sad.

Thanks for reinforcing my point. Both of our usernames lack capitalization, but in your post the lack of capitalization does not impair readability. But together, capitalization and punctuation are almost as important as spacing.

The site name is short enough that it isn't too difficult to read, and frankly weird URLs are training us to read with fewer cues for where words start and stop. But try that with a whole paragraph. What am I saying-people don't use paragraphs anymore. Put a couple of sentences together, especially with confusing letter combinations like "whatwordswereareading" and you have to decide whether it says "what word swearer eading" or "what words we are reading." That slows everything down and reduces the level of communication the writing provides.

I think the reference to that site was intended for the original poster.
