How can I reduce a QT movie file size after editing and saving only 25% of the movie? It seems if I only keep 25% of the movie, the file size remains the same as the original, unedited version.

One way to do it is:

1) Open a new player in QT Player

2) Copy the source clip from the original

3) Paste it into the new player

4) Save without dependencies.

One thing to remember is that the copied data might no longer be compressed, you actually should re-export the target file as compressed video. That might not be the case if the original is already compressed propietarily (like Sorenson, the trailer video). I took a 5-sec clip from the M I 2 trailer and it occupied just 1 MB in the 4-step method above.
