So my audio doesn't work on my Powerbook. I had recently put in a new 160gb hard drive so I assumed I screwed something up. HOWEVER I get a great startup chime AND if I play with GarageBand I get perfect audio out of the built in speakers. It is only when I try to play a iTunes song, or Flash video I get NOTHING. Even system sounds won't play..

I checked the Audio MIDI setup which is fine as well. How can GarageBand work but not iTunes?

This is a AlBook 1.67ghz G4

Try another user account, but I suspect something is missing. Do you get audio from Quicktime vids? You might have to do an archive & install.
