When you buy a brand new truck (Chevy S10) and the first thing you do is put an Apple logo sticker in the back window. The second is get a custom license (MAC USR, MAC MAN, MACADCT, MAC DRK, help me decide on one here.) and the third is get racing stripes with Apple logo's cut out of 'em on the hood. (Dunno about that last one yet though.)

I had a teacher in high school (we were both Mac addicts and friends) burst into my English class and hand me a printout of a photo of the iMac the day it first came out. He apologized to my teacher and left, but not after we flashed "thumbs up" at each other.

Odd, but true.

...you know you're a Mac addict when:
you get a $3000 loan for Mac stuff at an astronomical interest rate just because the bank you got it at is the only one who will give you a loan AND you actually pay it off then spend more on that same paid off loan!!!!!!!

...not that I know anyone who would do such a thing...

Two things have slipped into my head since spending extra time on these forums...

1) I think I'm the only person over 30 in here.

2) I must be the only person getting any real work done, or at least the only one reading all the posts in a thread before he replies, because I've been here almost a month and i don't think I'm anywhere near breaking a 100 posts. And I think I've been spending too much time on this thing.

that takes either extreme love for the Mac...or a hell of a lot of insanity...

I've actually gotta say that the love for a Mac is undescribable - and I don't even thik that you can be an addict. Its like Marmite: you either like ti or you don't. And most of us - even Pee-Cee owners- always have a secret desire or pang for a new Mac every now and then. the Mac is differnet. The Mac is cute. the Mac is great. And thats why I love it so much.

You're a Mac addict when you'll do just about anything to see a webcast of a Job's Keynote presentation @ Macworld (i.e. skip classes and do no homework). Hey, in college, you can get away with stuff like that anyway. What's more important listening to lectures or listening about the future

BTW, I hope I'm not wandering around here when I'm 30 (noffense)...

You know you're a Mac Addict when you have over 8000 combined posts on Mac forums, read this entire thread, and most of all, when you pay $750AUD to buy a 4 year old Mac to fix the one of the same model that bit the dust in one way or another, for sentimental reasons, when you could've gotten a new iMac instead... *sigh*

You know you're a Mac addict when you've been waiting for Mac OS X since before A/UX came out. (Look that one up, you 14-year-olds :-)

When you owned one of the first thousand Macs.

When you drag your PowerBooks (from the 100 on through Pismo) to Windows-centric clients and deal with their wierd stares.
