We all know that OS 9 Finder won't use more than 1.5 GB RAM (up to 1 GB for single app). With the installation of OS X, I was wondering if anyone has successfully installed and utilizied more than 1.5 GB RAM? To my present knowledge a PM G3/G4 should max out @ 4 GB (2^32) with 4 x 1 GB DIMMs. I haven't heardo f 1 GB DIMMs for Mac so 4 x 512 MB (2 GB total) is possible. Any thoughts or successful >1.5 GB RAM installs?

Right now, Mac OS X PB doesn't support more than 1.4 gigs of RAM but is expected to be able support up to 20 gigs when the final is released.

The PowerMac G4 tower has four slots. So, it is physically capable of supporting over 1.5GB of RAM. There just hasn't been an OS that could.
