I have an imac DV 400 and have produced an iMovie using pictures scanned into the computer. What do I need to do to be able to export the movie out to an analog videocamera or to a TV?

Thanks

You need something with a VGA type IN and an RCA NTSC signal encoded OUT.

Or a Sony Media Converter or Formac Studio.

What are the physical connections that need to be made for output??

In other words, my cables need to go from where on the iMac to where on the camcorder?

Thanks

Firewire is what you use for connections

Firewire is what I am trying to avoid since my analog camcorder is not set up for firewire.

Thanks

With Sony Media Converter or Formac Studio, you would connect the box to your iMac with FireWire. You would use a composite video (RCA) line to connect from the box to your camcorder (or an S-Video line if you want).

You will need a firewire camcorder for the export (borrow one from somebody) and hook up its RCA outputs directly to your VCR.
