For the record, I ain't that white-and from that list, it's pretty obvious. I do like some entries, but I've never been to San Francisco, I'm not moving to Canada (ever-nothin' but love, guys, but it's not home), I'm a Honda fan, and (GASP!) I'm not personal fan of weed. I do like coffee, though, so I must have something going for me.

It's actually quite common for people to take some group they belong to and make a "You might be an X if…" list. I've seen it for white people, Mexicans, zookeepers, grad students and a bunch of other groups. This is basically a more sarcastic variant.

It's a funny thing. Maybe it was just the neighborhood and the people already there who established the norm which I just became part of when I moved there. Maybe it was because there is such a fun sense of freedom and acceptance and the appreciation of where we all were. (Few natives in my crowd.)

Haven't done the dinner party thing anywhere else, except in West Hollywood.

I think reality refutes your hypothesis. Carlos Mencia makes fun of Mexicans. Chris Rock makes fun of blacks. Jerry Seinfeld makes fun of Jews. Margaret Cho makes fun of Koreans. And yet they're all quite successful. So it appears this does fly with other races.
