AT&T customers in the US, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands who have activated the company's Wi-Fi calling feature (included in iOS 9) can now use it all over the globe. Starting today, calls placed to the US and calls received from it will automatically use the free Wi-Fi calling feature if the device is connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing users to make and receive calls, or send and receive texts, using their original assigned US number. The free option does not work in reverse, however; calls made to international numbers using Wi-Fi calling will still be billed at applicable rates. The feature is available on the iPhone 6 and later, running the just-released iOS 9.3 update.
