I just made my first iPhoto book-- a Christmas present for my wife.

I submitted it last night/this morning (12/19) at 3:00 am MST and it shipped this morning! That's very fast turn-around.

Making the book had a couple quirks.
iPhoto has some bugs still for sure.
When trying to re-arrange some of the pages in the book, it wouldn't let me.
It would keep putting them in arbitrary order.
I finally got it all laid out the way I wanted--but I felt like I was solving a Rubik's Cube toward the end there.
It was literally like a puzzle. I just kept dragging and dropping the images in arbitrary places until they appeared in the order that I wanted them.

It's really annoying--but only seems to come into play if you use the 3 image per page layout a lot--which I did--and if you have lots of images/pages--which I did as well.

But, all in all, it went smoothly, and I should have it in my hands Friday.

So, if anyone wants to fire one up for as a Christmas gift, I bet if you get the order in today then you should get the book by Tuesday.

I was really amazed by the turnaround time.

Just thought I would share that info with you all.
signatures are a waste of bandwidth
especially ones with political tripe in them.

Anyone hear anything on if/when Apple is planning to roll out these features outside the USA?

I ordered my first book last sunday night, and it was delivered Tuesday morning. Wonderful turnaround time!
The quality is pretty good too. Some of the photos I put in (scans of some old pictures) were fairly poor to begin with, but the output quality was always on par with what I put in. The output on the higher quality digital pics was great.
These make great gifts!
