Where I work they hold a dress down the week before Superbowl, where you're invited to wear any sports jerseys you wish.

On a completely different track, I've been working the past few weeks trying to get some upgrades pushed through for my graphics department.

Apparently today is the day the head of IT chose to get back to my boss on my requests, and of course since my boss doesn't really know anything, so I'm called into it. Rather than a speakerphone conversation, the IT guys decide we should meet face to face.

There's something refreshing, but somewhat unnerving about having a internal business meeting with the head of a major department (who I might add, wears bowties) while wearing a Dennis Rodman jersey.

"Hi, I'm a fan of a 6'9 cross-dressing black man. I'll take 5 OS upgrades as soon as possible."

Proud of ya. At least you weren't drunk.

You're one of those artsy graphics types, he's used to it by now. Fact is, he'd probably hate you anyway, no matter what kind of shirt you're wearing.

The best part is the latter sentence is completely exclusive from the first, as far as I'm concerned.

At work we had nude Fridays, and one time I forgot about it completely.
Boy, was I embarrased when I discovered that I was the only one with clothes on.
But I was drunk, because Fridays were also 'booze cart day" and I prepared for that.

I was saying that he sounds like he's a little uptight. In my experience the rigid, uptight types don't really care for relaxed, artistic people.

I'm rigid, uptight, relaxed, and artistic — and I don't like anyone.
