My iBook screen just went out. all i was doing was surfing the web, the screen froze. so i restarted and its all black..the screen isnt working. i know its booting up because i can hit the sound button on the keyboard and hear the noise. what do i do and has anyone else had this happen?

right now im on my downstairs computer. in the morning i will try to hook it up to a monitor to see if its the screen.

please help me. i need my ibook!!

Since your screen is black as the result of a crash, it's probably software and not hardware that is to blame. Do the screen brightness keys work? You might try booting from the OS X CD just in case there is a driver problem.

well, i booted up. got a bit of the startup picture. it got all scratchy and then froze again...
