Well Apple posted a "new" 10.2.8. I was very leery about downloading it because when I downloaded the "old" 10.2.8 I lost an hour and a half of battery power. But the good news is I did download it and I got my battery power back.

Here's something I've noticed about the previous version of 10.2.8. My iBook hesitates for 10-20 seconds before going to sleep. This sometimes happens when I have a large program in memory.

The new update is only 580K for me. It's supposed to fix the battery status menu.

Edit: Sleep seems to have returned to normal with the update.

Yep, same here, back to plm 2h45. It even indicated 6h45 left, just for 10 seconds unfortunately...

The 10.2.8 update has restored the ability to completely dim the screen using the F1 key, a feature missing on the clamshells since OS9

cheers Ry
