I am looking for a replacement of Apples network icon. The earthlike ball is not doing too well when it comes to intuitive UI usage. Anyway, I searched the major sites but found only icons similar to Apples.
Anybody know a real good icon for this?
Further more, I want new icons for networked volumes, servers etc.
Any suggestions?

Thank you, that is more like it. However, that doesn't mean I'm not open to more suggestions. Network icon needs to be more, hm, network like, a line connecting things would be a start.
After all I see the need to sit down and create it myself, but I would not want to reinvent the wheel if someone gifted and talented already came up with one.

I did browse the WOA sets and were partly successful. Thanks.
What I am exactly looking for is a style, that is less colourful and more abstract and that is informative even at small icon sizes. Since Apple introduced the big icons everybody seems to create big ones that offer a lot of detail, but shrink to whashed out unrecognizable colour dots below 32 bit size in many cases.
Maybe the smaller, less known, creators/sites have what I am looking for. I'd appreciate further hints, links and ideas. Thanks!

Have a look at GUIOlympics. There are mainly Windos icons, but some of them are pretty nice and can be easily converted using for example Pixadex or CanCombineIcons. I suggest Rokey's "Last Order" iconset.

Interesting things there. It is clear Aqua inspires XP skinning heavily!
Found two good choices. Thanks! Good suggestion.
Maybe there's more out there somebody stumbled across and would not mind sharing?
