I have Filemaker 6 for pc at home and Filemaker on Mac at home. I want to exchange files. 2 questions:

1. can I open pc filemaker files in mac? (do I need to do any conversion?)
2. can I open a filemaker 7 file in a filemaker 6 program?

Thanks,
Bob

1. Yes, no issues at all.
2. No, definitely not. Going in the other direction will cause the file to be converted to the newer format (and not then available to the older). You can also not network between the two version. Versions 5 (and 5.5) and 6 were compatible with each other (with a few scripting calls).
