I see it costs $699 (!) to upgrade to the 32 GB 3G S from the 3G iPhone. But I have the original iPhone, with my contract expiring in September. Do I have to pay this inflated price, or do I get the new customer pricing? So confused...

Want an iPhone 3G S? Already have an iPhone 3G? Be prepared to pay $700 to upgrade [Updated]

Nope, I think they charged me 2 separate 18 dollar fees (Activation and Upgrade) and that was it. Take note that your plan will most likely cost more per month now.

I purchased mine in Nov of 07, so you are well in the safe zone of upgrading for the $199 or $299 depending on 16GB or 32GB.
