Apple is opening up US Personal Pickup reservations for the iPhone 5 starting at 10PM Monday, according to
AppleInsider. The option will let people buy an iPhone 5 online, but pick up their order from a physical Apple Store the next day. Apple is
said to have briefed workers on its plans earlier today; to make a reservation, people will have to go to the
iPhone 5 page at the company's website.
So far Apple has limited US orders to its
online store and retail visitors. Personal Pickup has meanwhile been an option for some other countries since launch, including the UK.
AppleInsider also claims that a number of American shops have begun receiving resupplies. In many cases, the shipments should be the first for stores since the iPhone 5 launched on Friday. Earlier today Apple announced that it has already sold
over 5 million units, which likely means that many locations are still selling phones as fast as they can get them.
