can someone me help me out this question, thanks in advance.
There were once four people named Everybody, Somebody, Nobody and Anybody. Somebody had to do a job, but Nobody wanted to do it. Nobody could see that Anybody could do it, and Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Nobody ended up doing it, and it so happened that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

It's built into the OS.

Shift-Cmd-3 makes a screenshot of the whole screen.
Shift-Cmd-4 lets you draw a box for the screenshot.

Holding Control during the process copies the screenshot to the clipboard instead of depositing a file on the desktop.

And you can press Command-Shift-4, and then press Space, and then click on a window to take just a picture of it.

Or, Command-Shift-4 then hitting space bar turns the crosshair into a camera and then you can select the window you want (or menu bar or dock icon).

In addition to the commands listed, if you hold Control while taking the picture (as you let go of the button), the OS will put the image on the clipboard instead of making a PNG on the Desktop.

Wow. Nobody even mentioned Grab. Still a useful app for some of us.
