Most people say using FM transmitters to get sound from your iPod to your car stereo doesn't work well enough to be worth the money and most I've seen make me agree.
Today though, I saw this.
The antenna on this can be magnetically attached to a metal part inside the car. Would this improve reception enough to make it worth it or will nothing overcome more powerful stations overriding your own signal? Anybody have this and willing to share their experience? Thanks.

Most people are right, and I doubt this device is going to change that. The airwaves are crowded in most urban areas, and I've yet to find one that works well. If someone knows of a device that works, please let us know.

I've never had any issues with my DLO Transpod - it has worked just fine with all the iPods I've had in the past year - Mini, 20GB w/ color display, and 30GB w/ video. I still plan on installing an auxiliary input cable sometime in the future, though - when time (and money) allows.

My Airplay Extreme works fine in Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles (that surprised me), and Las Vegas. A friend just got an Alpine deck with the iPod hookup and we compared the difference between his line in and the difference was noticeable but not by a lot.
My only reason for not using a line in is because I keep the top off of my jeep very often and don't want to pay the money for a more expensive deck that will get rained on and possibly stolen.
