The powerbook will be faster because it has twice the Level 2 cache and a better graphics card.

L2 Cache, on the PB, and it is smaller but the screen is the same Res. The PB will be faster. Not to mention I believe it comes with more onboard RAM. Could be wrong though not bothered to check.

Other than the Screensize the Powerbook is going to be better. More Backside Cache, More built in memory, Better Video, Bluetooth built in (NOT as an Option), Can Span to second monitor without Hack.

Have you gone into a store (like CompUSA or Apple Store) to compare these side-by-side? I think you'll see obvious differences.

The Powerbook will be faster. To do some research on this, go to Xbench.com and look into the archives for both models, where you'll have to take the "median" of the vairous speed tests listed for each model. Some individual models test low, some test high, so you have to choose the middle-of-the-road results.

The PB is more portable, will support extended desktop on an external monitor, has bluetooth built-in, has USB 2.0 built-in, will connect easy to a DVI display, and most importantly will weigh less.

Personally, type on the 14" iBook is way to blurry for my eyes. I get a headache and eye fatigue if I'm on it too long. Even the 12" iBook is sharper than the 14" iBook.

I don't think the graphics card in the 12" powerbook is better than that of the 14" ibook. I find ATI video cards provide slightly better DVd performance and a bit better picture.

That being said, the powerbook is definitely a better machine. If ypur looking at an ibook i would say look at the 933 14" ibook as i think it is a better deal for the money than the 1 ghz.

Don't forget that the PB also has audio in, where the iBook doesn't, and a much better keyboard as well.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

Woah, is this like that Discovery series...

Tiger vs. Lion...
Rhino vs. Shark...

but then, they really don't use Rhinos or Tigers and they construct it out of steel so it basically becomes boring quick...

Man, I hope the best one wins... since I have both.
