The new Ranks code has been under development, using SETI as the test project.

Courtesy of the long weekend, I fixed a bunch of boneheaded code glitches and the backend Ranks code is actually running. Over the next week, I'll probably keep tinkering with the backend. It already makes better rate estimates for untracked teams than the current Ranks do.

The web frontend will need a partial rebuild to integrate the new functions. That is a project for another weekend.

There is a rumor that Scott supplies the free servers. Pays their electric and DSL bills too. Why just last week, I heard the two primary stats boxes got upgraded to AXP 2400's, and box#3 got a new 512 MB stick.

Don't believe everything you read.

Especially if I write it.

Some people are just to modest. You both contribute a lot to the team and for that I and probably a few more are greatful. I did not realize what great stats our team had until last week.

You know if I can't even find the code that I would have a heck of a time helping write it.

Once I could write Fortran, Cobol, PL-1, C & C++. Now I have trouble with my own name. So now I just stay out of the way.

Thanks for the update. It looks like when the "new" ranks are done all the stats are in place. Maybe we should then try another recruitement drive then...

I just threw in a new dual 1.25 on SETI, 8/9 units a day. I doubt the single G5 will beat that, can't beat the <$1,500 price tag.

What happens after the new Ranks are available on all projects is open for suggestions. I'm partial to stats sigs, but there have been other ideas too.
