Guys,

I'm perplexed by iCal showing an extra space in the all day event space. See the picture below for what I mean. Do you guys know of what could be causing this?

iCal Visual Oddity

Both circled areas (the case when there is an all day event and when there isn't) are the problem I'm wondering about. It seems to me like that area shouldn't be there. Is it there for you guys?

Here is a listing of things I have tried so far:
  1. Turning off all the calendar items doesn't fix it
  2. Deleting all the Calendars and making fresh ones with no items also does nothing

Let me know if you have any suggestions. I tried searching online but the space in the all day event bar is difficult to describe, and have so far come up empty. If you guys leave a sugggestion I'll post back and let you know if it works or not.

Isn't that top extra space reserved for items you mark as "all day" in the calendar?

Or maybe for "tasks" that you enter into iCal? In the first image you have something showing in the extra space.... is that an all day event, or a "task"?

yes but if you look at the picture when I put an all day event on there, that space expands and to fit in another "row" if you will. Its like there is an invisible row of all day events there.

Tasks go on the side, if the tasks button is pressed which it is not in this case.

Anyway to reset iCal to get rid of this oddity?
