After upgrading to 10.5.2 some sites load and others don't. All sites that I try to load with a ".ca" suffix will not load. ie eBay - Deals on new and used electronics, clothing, collectables and more on eBay will not load but eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices will load. When I try a tracerroute I get an "unknown host error" on ebay.ca. I've tried Firefox and Safari and neither works. IE however works fine in parallels which is what I'm using now to view the sites.

I'm at a loss... Any ideas?

Cheers,
Jon_

flush your dns cache

In Terminal, type 'dscacheutil -flushcache' then press Enter. No quotes on the commands.

Also, use OpenDNS if you aren't already. OpenDNS | Providing A Safer And Faster Internet

I was trying to find your previous post on the subject, Cold Warrior,. and then I saw you posted it here.

This should go into an official FAQ thread.

I usually turn to Google for searching the site when I have a series of specific terms. I Googled flush dns cache cold warrior site:forums.macnn.com. Only result was my post in that thread.

Thanks for the reply, I've already tried flushing the cache and I am using OpenDNS but I'm still experiencing the same error...

Try reapplying the 10.5.2 update, but use the combo updater.
Apple - OS X - 10.5.2 Combo Updater
