I am thinking of getting a laptop table for my MacBook.. I've only seen one from IKEA that I don't like a lot... Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I use my coffee table in front of my couch in the living room. Within easy reach from my perch on the couch.

I've been using my coffee table too, but it's not that conformable use the MacBook while sitting on the couch. Sometimes I even sit on the floor but it doesn't feel good for an extended period of time.

I have one similar to this....

I bought mine at Fry's Electronics, but I snagged the pic here.

I love it. Rolls right up to wherever I need it to. In bed, by the couch.....

About $100.
I'm the f'king Mack Daddy in the simulator , but in the real world I look like Stephen Hawking trying to play ice hockey

Cool! I like it. Can you move the table in any angle or it just always stay straight?

Thanks

i also have one very similar to nitronick. I even went through the trouble of routing normal cables to keep on it so i don't have to worry about a cable mess. I got mine from Staples a few years back if you were wondering where else you could find one.

I also heard a great ideal for a laptop table. an old style sewing machine desk. the kind that the machine fold into the top. It will have a hole in the top that your book will fit into easily.

Thanks for the info.. Really, old style sewing machine you said? I actually have two of them, although I'm looking for one to be used when I'm on the couch.

yeah that is how I have mine set up. At first it drove the wife nuts, but she quickly got over it.

Here is a almost identical model as mine. It is basically the same the only thing different between the two are the colors of the wood and knobs.

I use my Tablemate II which can be pulled towards me as close as I want. Need at least one inch floor clearance so that legs can slide under your sofa or chair. Can tilt angle. Available from Walmart, Walgreens, Amazon etc. Can be folded and very portable.

Hey, thanks for the input. I've seen this table on those TV product commercials. Actually, now that I remember, a friend of mine has one of those..

I often do that, but I'm constantly standing up and it's uncomfortable to move the computer every time I need to do something else.
