I have an iMac DV with 128 megs RAM running OS9. I have an external SCSI APS HyperDAT tape drive (4mm tapes). I bought a Microtech USB to SCSI cable and adaptor and also added an APS SCSI Sentry II to give 5 volts to the tape drive. Retrospect 4.2 can't find the tape drive! When I had 8.6 installed it worked _sometimes_ (for no particular, repeatable reason). I've tried extensions off, on, and a variety of combinations with Conflict Catcher 8.06. I've contacted all the manufacturers involved for help with no luck.
Any suggestions will be apprecited!

Jerry

Try changing the SCSI ID's. I had a similar problem with SCSI not being recognized and it helped.

I do not know how many devices are supported on a USB -> SCSI adapter... You may want to try & set the ID=0
