I created a web site with iWeb which includes a "blog" page where I'd like to post a daily photo. Although I have a .Mac account, I'm currently publishing these pages via FTP to my dreamhost site. Since I will be posting a photo there daily, it would be a LOT easier to use iWeb or preferably Aperture to post the photo directly.

So my question is this: What is the best way to post a daily photo to a blog site which is not located on .Mac? I do not have any other HTML editing software, just iWeb. If I need something else, it must be freeware.

My photo posting starts tomorrow (January 1, 2007) - so quick answers are appreciated.

Quick answer would be, ftp the photos to where ever you can ftp them to, and point to them with an absolute url from the blog ( assuming you can alter the html )

All you need is a text editor...

Code:
<img src="http://www.*******.com/photo.jpg" />
... as a very basic example.

You could put a timestamp on the filename, and serve the content dynamically based on timestamp... e.g.

photo20061231.jpg
photo20070101.jpg
etc.

Was only a quick solution, everything could go pear shaped if the server where you are hosting the images to decides to disallow hotlinking.

I've seen sites that use "flickr" or other such images hosting resources, but at the end of the day you really want to be able to keep everything in one place, you might decide to move everything one day, for example....

... and hosting really isn't that expensive these days.
