ccrider, thanks. Tube looks neat. I'll wait a while until there are some more subway navigation apps.

Unless I'm missing something, there doesn't seem to be a way to post to a person's wall with the Facebook app. If anyone finds a way to do this, do tell.

MotionX-Poker $4.99.

You shake the iPhone to roll the dice and place dice poker against the computer.
Initially I thought that it had Yahtzee along with dice poker, but alas, just dice poker, but it's still fun. Lots to unlock.

Zenbe Lists looks very nice and it's another free app.

It does any kind of list including to-do lists. You can edit lists on your iPhone or with any web browser. You can share the list over the web, with another iPhone, or on iGoogle.

Thanks for that Simon.
I was looking for a nice lists app, and preferably one with some sort of desktop type syncing. I downloaded reQall, but it isn't quite what I wanted.

I haven't tested this out yet, but in iTunes you can get info on an app and it seems like you can change its artwork.

This will be quite cool if you can change the icon of apps which have bad icons.

My mistake, sorry about that.
I just tried to replace the artwork and the Add and Delete buttons are greyed out. I didn't notice that the first time.

And here's another one I know I will be using a lot: Light for free.

I'll leave out the screenshot for obvious reasons.

It does just what it says. Use your iPhone as a flash light.

I tried an earlier version of Band on the original iPhone and it had quite annoying latency.

Does it feel more responsive now?

Another for WeatherBug. Too bad there isn't a way to get rid of the default weather app. Moving it to another screen doesn't really count.

I don't have any recommendations per se as I have just started downloading and installing some apps. But I have to say, by all accounts the iPhone App Store is a HUGE success. There are some really great apps out there. I'm really liking the MLB app. Epocrates is cool if, like me, you deal a lot with medications. I almost can't believe it is free. In fact, one could find almost any app they need/want and it's likely free. There are some great apps out there.

Bomberman is awesome. Has anyone tried Enigmo? I love the desktop version, but I'm a little apprehensive because of the control schemes.

Apparently, there's an alternate version of Bejeweled that lets you tip the phone around to change the direction of "down." Can't recall the name.

EDIT: The name is Diamond Twister: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/M...284836284&mt=8

I've bought CroMag Rally, Super Monkey Ball, Bejeweled 2, Enigmo Tuner and Exposure Premium.

Not regretted a single purchase so far. They are all high quality. 95% of the free ones are junk :/

You need to check out Trism.

I haven't played it, but from the demos, it seems like Bejeweled in "hello, iPhone!"

My favorite app so far is Midomi. It is a tool for finding music. You can sing or hum a song into the microphone and it finds it. Or you can put the iPhone up to a radio speaker and it will find the song from that.

Shazam is an alternative for those cases where midomi fails.

To take a screenshot on your iPhone, hold down the Home button and then press the Lock button on top and a screenshot will be saved to your camera roll.

We want screenshots!

Also, Trism is awesome. I'm definitely addicted.

Why are there heaps of apps in my store relating to the US only (I'm looking at you Box Office) and Scrabble isn't?

I can somewhat see that Scrabble would have different distributors in the US and Europe (I know Ubisoft handles the EU license), but that game?

Hey Scrabble users, do you know if you can change the "skin" of the game? From the screenshots the UI looks kind of ugly to me. Any way to change it in the prefs?

No, but once you start playing, the ugliness makes more sense. The colored tiles indicate the doubles and triples. Game play is nice.

Save Benjis is a really nice app. It give you the best internet prices while you shop in the real world. I am always one of those people who never buy something unless I know I am getting it at the best possible price so I am really liking that app. http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/M...284424264&mt=8

Also iPint is a fun little free game. http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/M...284856940&mt=8

Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D

Great game. The graphics are pretty good and the control is excellent. I just wish it had more levels and multiplayer over WiFi & 3G networks.

Games/Apps I've purchased so far:

Monkey Ball
Trism
Bomberman
Crash Bandicoot
SplashID
Comic Touch

Man, I didn't think I would be spending this much money at the Apps store. (Almost $50 so far)

Slick shoes?! Are you crazy?!

Yeah, I got Crash Bandicoot too. It's a newer addition isn't it? I swear I didn't see that one before today. I prefer its "always accelerating" controls to the ones of CroMag.

Is SuperMonkeyBall as frustratingly difficult as people are saying?

I recommend Labyrinth as a good way to play with the tilt controls. It works just like that game where you roll a metal ball around on a wooden platform, and there are hundreds of mazes that you can download.

I got Super Monkey Ball(s) and I haven't played it much yet, but the little I played it was kind of difficult. But I hear that once you get used to the controls its really fun. I'm betting that is the case.
