[Updated with new information] Although the system status page for Apple's services continues to report no issues, some users are experiencing issues with iCloud.com, the App Store and other aspects of the service. General syncing seems to be working, but developers are also reporting issues with CloudKit Dashboard. Some users, including MacNN staffers, have reported problems with app updates and iCloud mail accounts as well.

While the various App and media stores appear to load as normal, installing and updating apps isn't working for at least some percentage of users, though it is difficult to tell how widespread the problem is. We will update the story once Apple acknowledges the issues, and when normal service is restored. The iCloud service has been hit with several outages, ranging from minor to major, over the last month.

Apple's status page does not reflect user issues

Update: After the issues appear to have been resolved, Apple subsequently updated its system status page to reflect the issues that were experienced by users. In an updated report, Apple admitted that Siri, Apple Pay, store services, and "multiple iCloud services" were unavailable for some users between approximately 8AM and a little after 9AM Pacific Time, though some users were continuing to see problems after 9AM PT.

Apple Pay now has over 300 US banks, credit unions supporting it

On Tuesday, Apple added another 12 financial institutions to its list of card issuers supporting Apple Pay, bringing the total number of US banks and credit unions to over 300. The new list includes a number of regional institutions around the US, though Apple is expected to announce an expansion of Apple Pay into other countries at its Worldwide Developers Conference next week. Other speculation has the company adding loyalty or reward programs into Apple Pay as well.

The list of new banks and CUs, in alphabetical order, is as follows: Banner Bank, BayPort Credit Union, California Coast Credit Union, Centier Bank, Community First Credit Union, Glenview State Bank, HAPO Community Credit Union, Prestige Community Credit Union, Provident Credit Union, Staley Credit Union, Synovus Bank, and Wood & Huston Bank.

For me it was SMPT Mail Sending issues. After 90 minutes on hold with Apple, the problem then went away. I told Customer Support that if there's issues they need an accurate Status Page that reflects those problem(s)!
