Just bought a 550mhz Onyx TiBook on ebay and it's in the kind of condition I expected - bubbling paint round the edge. Should I just leave it or try and do something about it? It's beyond touching up really - can it be removed with wet and dry paper, or do you need to disassemble the whole machine?

I have that exact model, and I used TiPaint on it. I've heard a lot of rumbling on the internet about it, but it's worked well for me.

TiPaint didn't work for me. But I am happy with what I finally ended up with...

I'm going to have a go at smoothing down and repainting the bubbles on my TiBook as they're quite bad and make it look really scruffy.
