I am trying to recreate this shape in illustrator, but haven't got clue on how to make the edging, i not the best with drawing with illustrator.

Make a 14 sided shape. Then apply effect> pucker and bloat ~15%.

Copy and paste 3 times, expand size each time.

I also suggest making a duplicate of your file, then Apply Appearance on all the shapes after you've applied the filter.
