Does anyone have experience with SanDisk's Cloudspeed 1000 SSDs? I've found a really good "per gigabyte" deal on their 480GB model, and I'm thinking about moving my iMac (a 2007 model) to SSD to help it move a little zippier.

Not that specific model, but I think SanDisk is middle-of-the-road quality-wise.
As we noted over in the gaming forum (we went a bit tangential in Gaming PC build thread), SSD prices are likely to come crashing down over the next year or two. I think that this may just be the beginning of that.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

If I may ask, why an enterprise SSD?

Why the enterprise model? It was on sale for a great price.
