For those who are in the know, was this previously considered possible by the scientific community? Namely that soft tissue could survive this long?
the article states Schweitzer has been trying to find soft tissue in fossils, so there must have been some belief to find it there. It'll be interesting to hear the theories, or if one prefers, made up stuff, as to how.

What are you talking about? There's a repeated habit here. When someone only tells gay jokes, or polish jokes, or laughs at Venezuelans people tend to realize its more than comic-relief and a sign of genuine malice.

Yea, I'm looking forward to it. From what little I have learned about this stuff no soft tissue should be surviving that long. Guess that's why I'm not digging up dinosaur remains!

Excuse me? We're talking about someone having some sort of deep-rooted psychological issue because they made a sarcastic remark about Jesus. Not if there is malice behind it, major difference..

So wtf are you talking about?

I'm not saying that you're lying, just that I doubt you have more religious experience. In a big way, it's what I do for a living.

Not to belittle your experience, it's important to you, and you should be proud of it.

I admit it's kinda eerie
But this proves my chaos theory

I cannot approve of this attraction
'Cause getting disemboweled always makes me kinda mad
A huge tyrannosaurus ate our lawyer
Well, I suppose that proves... they're really not all bad

Jurassic Park is frightening in the dark

Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me

Oh no... oh no

well how old are you? i'm 41, an artist, myancestors painted the caves, i love comparative religion, and have traveled to over 100 countries...

i am wise enough to see christianity is only a drop in the oceans of experiences...some can't or won't because they are limited by their tinyworld

Not really. Jurasssic Park, along with Achy Breaky Song, proves no amount of humor can make especially annoying songs good.

It may just be that soft tissue inside a bone can be preserved well from all the weather outside just like soft things inside a chicken bone remains soft in spite of severe cooking.

I think this is pretty cool. Can't wait to read what they find out.

<OT stuff>

As far as SWG and Christianity, I believe he does what he does because he feels like they've done a lot to put him down (as a gay person). I don't know the whole story (only he does), but I think that's the gist of it.

Though MacNStein can answer for himself, I'll just say that he's probably referring to his PhD in theology.

that's cool but i suspect the phd leans to christianity...that's cool...but again, to me it's like thinking blue is the only color there is and not know it's part of a spectrum

You could read every single word ever written, and comprehend none of it. You could come away with it thinking you have become enlightened, but in fact you are the antithesis of illumination.

Studying a religion doesn't always make one aware, and it certainly doesn't always make a person enriched in knowledge, or enlightenment.

Oh, I'm hardly Christian. In fact, some Christians are more threatened by me than they are by atheists.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a full moon rite to attend. The rest of the temple will me miffed if I'm late.

They are the very same people that they hate.

And the name Tyrannosaurus Rex is itself Latin. Translates roughly as Tyrant Lizard King.
