Hi,
Not sure if this is a kosher post, but as my username indicates, I'm involved in a cause very dear to my heart.
Thank you for taking a moment to read this post. My wife inspired and co-founded with me MDA's Wings Over Wall Street®, a fundraising event for ALS research (ALS = Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease). She was on 24hr mechanical ventilation, quadriplegic, used a feeding tube, and couldn't speak. My beloved Toni passed away in November 2004, after a courageous, nearly five-year fight against ALS. But there are still so many other families facing this devastating life and death struggle with ALS and they continue to need your help. I am committed to continuing to raise awareness and funds to cure this disease and ensure that my wife's voice is still heard.

Hi Warren,
I'd like to help with your auction however I do not have a new iPod to donate. Rather, if you feel it would be an appropriate item for your auction, I would like to donate a few of my OS X Learning CDs. I am an Apple consultant and owner of Max Your Macs consulting - http://www.maxyourmacs.com - here in central Florida. What we primarily do is help new OS X users with any variety of OS X and other Mac related issues. A project grew out of my regular offerings in the form of a series of interactive learning CDs, the first just released in July titled OS X Fundamentals. The response has been very good so far and there have been news blurbs around the internet on various Mac sites about this first disk. The normal price is $49.95 each, but I would be more than happy to donate 3 copies if you feel it would be a worthwhile item for your auction. I wish I did have an iPod to give you as I surely would, but this is the best I have to offer currently.
Please let me know if you could use some disks and I will get them out to you right away. It sounds like your efforts and focus has the potential to help so many others and even though I am fortunate to not have someone close afflicted, your work is a blessing and incredibly appreciated by those in need.
