Hi,
I have an ibook on the way here, and it's my first apple, and I have a question about whether switching is going to affect my ipod at all. For the first nine months of its life I was using it with windows, so is there anything I'll need to do with it to start using it with the mac instead? Does it need to be reformatted or something, and if so, will I be able to keep my music?
Thanks for your help.

Well - your iPod will be overwritten with your new library on your new iBook - so if you import all your itunes files from the windows pc, it should be fairly easy. I believe that the files (both the music and the library) are structured the same on both platforms.
I do, however think that the iPod will be reformatted (maybe you can connect it and see the files, but the adress sync etc probably won't work before it has been reformatted).

Enjoy your new iBook!
