No, none of the Apple laptops have or had (at least in the last 10 years) upgradeable graphics.

I bought the Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro 15" with ATI, and am wondering. The new nVidia looks great and would work much better with Linux. Is it possible to replace my ATI card with the new nVidia? It appears to be a PCIe card. Is it possible to get the new one installed some way? Would this way void my warranty, because I bought the 3-year AppleCare and don't want to lose that protection.

You can't upgrade the graphics processor in a laptop. You can't get the parts, and it's not something you can just swap.

Easiest way is to sell your machine and buy a new one with the NVIDIA in there.

What are you going to connect it through, the 1x (instead of the usual 16x) PCIe ExpressCard port?

Do you mean, how will it interface to the computer? It says this:
This neat enclosure has been designed to house your favourite, screaming-hot desktop card - up to x16 PCI Express card - and then hooks up to your lappie via the ExpressCard interface.

I guess it comes with its own ExpressCard.

Yea, I'm thinking the performance is going to be poor over 1x PCIe (which is the fastest that ExpressCard supports)... and it may not even work with OS X (need driver support for the bridge chip and the non-EFI video card firmware).

I guess there's more to it... somehow, heh. I doubt MSI would develop an instantly-obsolete product. We'll have to wait and see.
