Fact is stranger than fiction. Through the grapevine it is said that OS 9.3 is about ready to begin. Check out the link below for more details. How much longer will development of OS 9 continue?

9.3? Man, I thought 9.2 was it.
Anyway, from what that article says it seems useless standalone (as in NOT running as Classic).
Be happy.

I'm hoping, and I think everyone else is too, that Apple will eventually be able to get OS 9 to use very little resources be much more integrated with OS X. It would be very cool if they could rework the appearance manager and even get it to look like Aqua, even if it isn't perfect. We'll see what happens this summer.

It should be integrated further and should have better support for third party libraries and such.

I don't want to see that classic is loading. It should be done in the background where I can't see it (like when I boot). But still should be able to be disabled.
