I'm curious, how would the performance of one x6800 Core 2 Duo Extreme Edition processor compare to the two 2.66GHz Xeon processors that are in the MacPro?

Two cores at 2.93Ghz vs four cores at 2.66... quad wins anything that is multithreaded.
