Does anyone know where the view option settings for each folder are saved to? I have a peculiar problem where one of my folders (the main one at that) will not save any of my view changes after a reboot. I can basically move items around in the window, change the view option to snap to grid, etc, but once I reboot the machine, all changes I made to that folder is gone and the view reverts to the setting that it's at now. Talking to a person at the local Genius Bar, he could only speculate that the view preference for this one particular folder had been corrupted. Unfortunately, no one I've talked to so far seems to know where these preferences are actually saved. Is it a hidden file that I can just delete in order to fix this problem? Running fsck or Disk First Aid or any disk utility doesn't solve the problem either. According to the aforementioned Genius, the only option I might have is to run the OS X installer again because it's supposed to look at all existing system files and remove/fix bad ones. Obviously this would be my last option since I don't really want to downgrade back to X.0 and then have to reupgrade to X.1. Plus who knows what else it'll mess up.
So, does anyone have another solution to my problem? Thanks in advance!
