I'm not sure if this is the right area to post this under, but im curious about a problem I've been having with the AppleWorks updater. My iMac's 4 gig HD is filled to the brim, and until i get a new one, I've been keeping about 50 mgs free at all times. For some reason, the updater (which is about 15 mgs) needs more room than that to operate. I don't want to go ahead trashing files until I can be sure that the updater will eventually work. Or do I just have a defective download? Please let me know.

May i presume you have nothing to backup to?
start a itools account at apple.com then upload files to your idisk account you just started (its free)
a great storage alternative.
