Does anyone know how to do this in OS 9? I read a tip about it once and forgot the key combination that will show all possible boot devices at startup and then you can arrow through the devices to select one to boot from.

Hold down the option key during bootup. This only works on UMA-1 Macs. Includes slot-loading iMacs, G4, Cube, iBooks, Pismo PowerBook and PowerBook G4. I'm not sure if the Yikes G4 (PCI G4) has this feature or not. The tray-loading iMacs (first generation) do not have this feature.
