Im going crazy. I cant get 9.1 to boot!!!!! It crashes every time i reboot from 10. Always in the same place right before the extensions load. Computer crashes and my mouse pointer dissappears!!!!!Help. every time i i get the thing to boot up and fix the extensions and then go to 10 and come back it happens all the time. I think its something with the audio extension. when it does boot i dont have any sound. someone help. please i beg of you. Thanks

Any chance you are running the Quicktime beta 5? If you are and it sounds to me like you probably are 'cause the same stuff happened to me... replace the Apple Audio Extension v1.2.2 with the one from the OS9 CD v1.1 That should fix you right up.

i dont have quicktime 5 installed and i dont have an OS9 cd i only have 9.1. do you know where i can get it? I know its always the audio extension cuz when i try to run an audio app it says it cant find any sound drivers. This is driving me crazy. Please help

Have you tried starting up off the system CD? If you can then put the offending extensions into the 'Disabled' folder and see how it goes.
