Hot-pluggable?

I'm not sure that this should be here, but I don't know where else. I have a USB logitech mouse that works fine, but I have to reboot to get it to do so. When I plug it in on the fly or even by putting it to sleep and then plugging it in, the mouse just jumps from one side of the screen to the other. It spazzes out. Is there something I could do to make it hot-pluggable?

I'd suggest that your USB mouse is not working fine if it is not hot-swappable. You should check the manufacturers website for the latest drivers. Is it a third-party USB card or an Apple, the card may need updated drivers as well.

Well, it is a brand new logitech mouse and a Ti. Maybe it is the mouse, I'm not too knowledgable about these things. But, it does work when I shut down and then plug it in, beautifully at that. The third party software works well, too.

I have a Logitech optical mouse, and it's always hot swappable. What you describe shouldn't be happening 
What 3rd party driver are you using? The software that Logitech itself provides is, IMHO, crap. I've been using USB Overdrive for a while, and it's brilliant.

USB is hot pluggable, but the drivers might spaz out. id open the mouse control panel, and set it to a desired speed, since it might default to that speed when you replug it back in
|

I tried USB Overdrive and it is great!!! Everything that I missed from my wintel mouse is on there! Thanks!
