anyone have a hack, etc., that can disable navigation services?

there is a known bug in the netware client for mac v. 5.13 -- any app that uses navigation services cannot go more than one level deep into a novell mounted volume; trying to go deeper just returns you to the desktop. apps that don't use navigation services work perfectly.

is there a way to disable this? an extension, maybe?
