Why does OS 9.1 need all those Carbon libraries? Is it to provide compatability for carbonized apps? Does this mean that if a developer makes only a carbon version of an app, it can be run on both OS X and OS 9.1 without any modification whatsoever? A sort of forward compatibility for Classic OS users who haven't yet upgraded to OS X?

If so then what a cool idea. M$ would never do such a thing.

Cool...thanks for not flaming me!

I knew about the other direction Carbon could go, but now I see the light. Apple is doing some 69-action with Carbon apps, OS 9, and OS X. How very cool.

You're right about MS. They'd just make you shell out more $ to convert. That's one reason they have a fat bottom line, and Apple has a bankruptcy lawyer on call.
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Yonkers can have better TV reception.

I don't think many companies with $4 billion in the bank and making a profit have bankruptcy lawyers on call. Get real.
