No. UMAX sucks...I have to boot into OS 9 to use my Astra 2200.

I called UMAX about this and they have no plans to support OS X on their older scanners or new consumer scanners. I will be buyng an Epson 1250 soon.

I have a Umax 1220U and wrote to the author of VueScan who told me the early Umax USB scanners have internal parallel or serial to USB converters, and they use a very weird instruction set.

So no OS X support. Ever. Sigh.

FWIW, I've actually been able to use my Astra 3450 with VistaScan 3.7.5 from within Classic. Also, despite what they'd said before, Hamrick Software did add support for some USB UMAX scanners. So maybe there is still hope.

I'm sure Epson and Canon are just happy as peas in a pod over UMAX's lousy support. Certainly UMAX has lost a customer in me.
