Well, here is the situation. Due to some financial problems, the non-profit organization I work for may have to move our websites from a NT server to a UNIX server.

So currently, we have a website that uses MS Access for our database. All pages use ASP.

How in the world are we going to get the site to work on a UNIX server???

There is an ASP module for apache...

so you can use that for static pages, but for pages that access a database you probably need to rewrite them in a linux friendly (perl, php) scripting language.

Almost every page on our website accesses the MS Access database. Man this sucks!

I am not the originally designer of the site, but I wish they used UNIX in the first place. The originally designer was probably a Windows fanatic.

this might be worth a look?
I have an access database and want to use PHP. What do I do?

You have two choices. If you run PHP on Windows you can use ODBC. Or there are programs that can convert your Access database into MySQL
taken from: asp2php

also, you might want to keep an eye on your line breaks (DOS -> UNIX)

You can move the database to MySQL or PostgreSQL for free (if not easily). Just export the data from Access as text files (comma or tab-delimited), then import them into the new database.

The ASP issue is a bigger one. You could use an asp-for-UNIX tool, but you'll probably be happier converting the ASP pages to PHP, JSP, Velocity, or Struts. It will take a little time, but the result will be faster than the ASP server was at the beginning.
