I am thinking that it is a path problem. I am not sure of myself when it comes to what to where. I am still a newbie when it comes to XWindows. Th

I guess the path changed when I updated to XFree86 4.2.

What window manager are you using? For example, I am using OroborOSX. XFree86-4.2 broke the version I was using in XFree86-4.1, and I had to install an update before AbiWord would function again.

I am using the most recent version of OroborosX from osxgnu.org, which is the newest. When I installed 4.2 it broke Nedit, but replacing a dylib fixed it.

OroborosX works fine. I think I had to run the interleaveX command again to get it to work after installing 4.2.

I have the most recent verison of AbiWord. I cannot get gnumeric or a whole host of applications to work.

I will have to play around some. I might even go back to 4.1

I have the most recent versions of XFree86 and OroborOSX, and run XAbiWord (rather than AbiWord - looks like exactly the same program, though) with no problems at all. Haven't yet tried Gnumeric.

I reinstalled 4.1 and it still does not work. I am getting a lot of Gtk errors.
