Well, that's it for me. What are YOURS?

In no particular order (because it'd take too long to sort them);

friends, family, rock and roll, technology, partying, sex.

There's more, somewhere.

I am saddened by the people that put themselves before family.

I'd lay down my life for my daughter or wife. Hell, mom and dad, my brother... all members of my family.

Are you people really that selfish?

My priorities:
God
Family

After that all things are equal.

Friends
Country
Truth
Justice
Love

I like the sound of that.

I am surprised and perhaps a bit happy that so few people put "country" on their list.

A core is the middle off an apple. Unless that's what you were refering to. Who am I to questionone's allegiances?

I'm trying to procrastinate, so I'll give my little list:

1. Family and my Spirituality
2. Friends
3. my university (University of CA, Berkeley--sad that I have an allegiance to this)
4. democracy and country
5. freedom of thought--to an extent--oops, i just contradicted myself--grrr

Surely some are, but many who put themselves before family put themselves before birth-family. If they were married and/or had children, their answers may very well be different.

I'd lay down my life for any member of my family, and my friends.

We're talking "allegiances" here, as the topic title says. If I take that literally, which I am, then I am the first person I turn to.

We're talking about different things.
