Is there an alternative to IDVD?

I am thinking of trading my 12" PB SD up for a 15" PB non-SD mainly for the real estate space and then buying a external firewire DVD-R. My main reason I use my SD now is to burn Slide Show DVD's using IDVD. Does anyone know of the best DVD-Authoring Software on a Mac besides IDVD that would allow me to do the same sort of thing? Thanks for any advice!

I'm not sure but look into Toast. I think a new version was released recently. Might be what you're looking for.

I think you want Sizzle (I think it lets you author DVD menus, et cetera)
Search macupdate or versiontracker.
