Excellent! Any plans for iTunes and iChat themes? TY for the update!

*edit* I noticed something with Safari... the Text size buttons (the small and large A's) seem to be from another theme... they are round... anyone else? I will post a screenie soon...

*edit again*

Here is what I mean...

I'm truely sorry for not having been complete on this one. I'll try to develop some in underling style (font, autofill, bug).
What puzzles me furthermore is this :

Many of the original underling resources were made on coloured backgrounds, i.e. without transparancy. It's showing on efuseakay's pic, not on my own Safari header. Could it be a leftover from running PantherBrushKiller ? If so, I'd like to "unkill" it.
I'll try to make the Safari ones transparent, but we might be in for more surprises that I'm not aware of (eventually not even capable of seeing them). Wil Voss seems to have lost track of the original psd files, so it won't be that easy.

Can anyone shed a light on this ?

Ya, I might shed some light.

Way back, when theming was a really new thing, I wanted to have buttons that were non-similar in shape. I'm not sure if this is the case anymore, but back then, all three widgets used the same mask resource. So if you used the same shape you were golden, but if you wanted something different, there would appear a faint overlay of the shared mask resource.

That mentality sorta snowballed into a very lazy approach to producing the underling theme. All was good, until Panther exposed my dirty little secrets.

I'm certain someone can explain this better. And it totally sucks that i've lost the underling psd files. And I think it rocks that you are keeping underling alive, in any form.

If I do find the psd files, i'll send em.

Great theme. Just the Safari skin needs fixing, and more app skins are always good if you get around to doing more.

Fixing the Safari skin shouldn't be hard, you can just trace the icons with the pen tool in Photoshop and then eyeball the drop-shadow.

Almost home... Click for 12" snapshot.
Ideas are most welcome. No other app skins planned for now, sorry.

Looking cool. Have you added transparency to the Safari skin so that it looks good with normal metal windows also?

Since I somehow lost this "normal metal window" look in Safari, I've had efuseakay test it - he says it's OK.
How do I get this normal metal window look back

Depends on what you did to kill the metal.

Have you tried reinstalling Safari?

PantherBrushKiller, and what they said on VersionTracker appears to be true : their Uninstaller doesn't work.

Thanks, this rather simple trick did it.
Now finally I could judge the underling safari skin myself, only to see it needed more work.

I'm glad to announce yet another underling update. Here's what's new :

- Finder toolbar icons
- Safari skin
- Mail skin
- Icons (both folder collection and iContainer), based on Box seri Three by grayhouse.deviantart.com
>>> modified, incorporated in app skins, and distributed with the author's kind permission
- wallpaper "Underling Panel" with the ever beautiful Wil Voss' logo
- ReadMe

Click on image to download. Enjoy !

I've done some more work on the Finder Toolbar View buttons. I think it's an improvement.
There's also a new desktop picture, UnderlingPanelCut.

Excellent Gerrit! Glad to see someone likes this theme as much as I do! Perhaps an iChat theme is a possibility in the future? Good work!

Thanks a lot for your appreciation.
I have underling running on my iBook, and it's going to be there for a long time, I guess.

You may want to know I've just finetuned the Safari skin a bit, so if you'd like to try the latest - it's on the previous DL link.

Since I'm not an iChat user, I don't know the first thing about it. What important resources need underling 'ing, if not all ?

As far as I can tell with iChat, the buttons (Add buddy/Send Message/Audio/Video) at the bottom of the buddy list window would need changing... As well as the Mute/Maximize buttons at the bottom of a video chat window...

Would be nice, but not necessary of course...
